Marine Corps Marathon 2009 Results on Twitter, Facebook

Results are coming for the 2009 Marine Corps Marathon. As they cross the finish line at the 34th Marine Corp Marathon in Washington, DC, results can be tracked on the Internet. Family and friends can root for their favorite runners by joining the Marine Corps Marathon Facebook page and following the results on Twitter.

On October 25, 2009, 30,000 runners and more than 100,000 spectators will participate in the 34th Marine Corps Marathon (MCM). The MCM, organized by the United States Marine Corps, is the fifth largest marathon in the United States and tenth largest in the world. Hosted by nearly 2,500 U.S. Marines and Sailors, the Marine Corps Marathon annually welcomes participants from all 50 states and more than 50 countries. Since its inception in 1976, more than 380,000 military and civilian runners have participated in "The People's Marathon", a nickname earned for the run's status as the largest marathon not offering prize money.
